Mid-week Glow Up

Holiday Attire

Can you believe the end of 2021 is fast approaching? What are your plans for the holidays? As we attempt to have a normal holiday season compared to the unprecedented holidays of 2020, people are out in these streets! I think most major companies are still saying no to Christmas parties, hopefully, that money will go to employee bonuses. People are opening their spaces to holiday parties. Christmas is not canceled and neither is New Year’s Eve, so what are you wearing?

Before we jump right into fancy dressing let’s first get through all the eating we are about to do at Thanksgiving. Do you dress up or wear your eating pants? Same for Christmas how do you dress for dinner? I am going to give you a few ideas for your looks depending on your mood.

Unless your family does prefer to do a dressy holiday picture I say being comfortable is key. Sitting around eating and laughing you need room to move freely.

Pair your favorite long cardigan with some leather leggings and a graphic tee. Finish the look off with sneakers or boots for a comfortable cute look, but not trying too hard.

A comfortable sweatsuit is always a winner when eating is involved. Even better when it has a little edge and is not so traditional in style.

A sweater dress will always be an option to dress up or down depending on the shoe. The non- constricted style will give you plenty of room to eat all the turkey you want. Don’t forget a complete sweater set is also a go-to look.

Lastly, you can never go wrong with a pair of jeans and an oversized sweater. If you want to take it up notch pair with wide-leg chinos. Depending on the length of your pants if you can pair them with sneakers that will give that cool chic Parisian style.

Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinner

Dressy Attire

If you have some holiday events to attend that require you to pull out your finest. Here are a few suggestions that will have you looking chic.

All the major department stores such as Nordstrom, Neimans, and Bloomingdales will have a holiday section, but if you want something not so traditional Zara will not let you down.

Staying within the traditional glam a dressy combination dress and pants is a win-win. The flow of the dress gives the feminine look, but the pants give you the comfort of knowing you are not having to watch your slit all night. Sequin grown is a never fell with a deep v neck. Don’t forget a tuxedo dress is a simple but classy look. If the bow is too much replace it with a large broach.

New Year’s Eve parties let your hair down and celebrate. There are no rules and you should have fun and own whatever look your choose.

Remember Confidence is Stylish.
