Mid-week Glow Up

Thanksgiving

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow let’s take this to reflect. These past couple of years have been a trying time for many. There have been so many lives lost due to Covid and the after-effects of Covid. If you are blessed to be able to say that you haven’t lost anyone during this time, count your blessings. For those of you who have my heart goes out to you.

Before you gather with family and friends take the time to meditate. Sit in silence and think about all the goodness that you have. A sound mind, an able body, and a reasonable amount of health. Things we take for granted because we feel like it is owed to us to have all these things. So many people are struggling with their health, loss of employment, and life in general. The holidays however joyful time for many can also be a trigger for others. Have a little compassion for those who struggle during this time.

If you can carve out some time to give to those less fortunate. If you haven’t already, sign up to volunteer at your local food bank or shelter. Many organizations provide a warm meal for many during this time so if you can’t give your time give a meal. And with the leftovers that you have fixed a plate for that person that you normally pass on your way home. The one that is standing at the light asking for help or the one under the overpass trying to stay warm. A warm meal will be so appreciated.

Lastly, if your choose to venture out this weekend to start your Christmas shopping let’s be respectful to those working in retail. This is a very stressful time for them. Please know that TV will be cheaper the day after Christmas. And you do not need another crockpot 🙂

Freeform has 25 days of Christmas movies starting December 1st. and I am so excited! There are a couple of movies no matter how old they are that I have to watch during the Christmas season. It’s like they jump-start my happy demeanor for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving
